We often meet in our Bible Groups and read and share from the Bible.

Genesis 2:9-17
Out of the ground the Lord God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight and
good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of
good and evil. Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it divided
and became four rivers. The name of the first is Pishon; it flows around the whole land of
Havilah, where there is gold.
The gold of that land is good; the bdellium and the onyx stone are there. The name of the
second river is Gihon; it flows around the whole land of Cush. The name of the third river is
Tigris; it flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates. Then the Lord God took
the man and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it. The Lord God
commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the
tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you
will surely die.

Genesis 3:1-7
Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made.
And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the
garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat;
but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, You shall not
eat from it or touch it, or you will die.
The serpent said to the woman, You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat
from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. When the
woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the
tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her
husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that
they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings.

Genesis 3:22
Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil;
and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live
forever”—
(New English Translation: God said, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and
evil; what if he now reaches out his hand and takes fruit from the tree of life also, eats it and
lives for ever? So the Lord God drove him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from
which he had been taken. He cast him out, and to the east of the garden of Eden he stationed
the cherubim and a sword whirling and flashing to guard the way to the tree of life.’ )

Ezekiel 28:12-13
“Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord
God,
“You had the seal of perfection,
Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
“You were in Eden, the garden of God;
Every precious stone was your covering:
The ruby, the topaz and the diamond;
The beryl, the onyx and the jasper;
The lapis lazuli, the turquoise and the emerald;
And the gold, the workmanship of your settings and sockets,
Was in you.
On the day that you were created
They were prepared

Ezekiel 47:12
By the river on its bank, on one side and on the other, will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their
leaves will not wither and their fruit will not fail. They will bear every month because their water
flows from the sanctuary, and their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing.”

Proverbs 15:4
A soothing tongue is a tree of life,
But perversion in it crushes the spirit.

Isaiah 58:11
“And the Lord will continually guide you,
And satisfy your desire in scorched places,
And give strength to your bones;
And you will be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.

Revelation 2:7
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I
will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.’

Revelation 22:1-3
Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God
and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life,
bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for
the healing of the nations. There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the
Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him;

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and
may enter by the gates into the city.
